Flyway Youth Forum 2020

Flyway Youth Forum

Date: November 28-29

          December 5-6

Wetlands are among the world’s most economically valuable ecosystems. They also provide crucial ecosystems services, such as water storage and purification, carbon capture, flood protection, and shoreline stabilisation.

Despite this, these vital habitats are disappearing three times faster than forests and urgent action is needed to secure their future!

Organised by the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership and Youth Engaged in Wetlands, the Flyway Youth Forum places youth at the centre of the fight to conserve wetlands and migratory waterbirds.

Connect with youth leaders, scientists, activists, artists, and conservationists in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway and interact through a series of virtual workshops, platform exchanges, and networking activities.

You will have opportunities to share your ideas, learn from experts, and engage in drafting a Declaration on wetlands and migratory waterbirds conservation for the 14th Ramsar Convention Conference in 2021!
